ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a QA Developer to join our team at Pallet. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have startup experience, and possess deep product insight. As a QA Developer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our cutting-edge products.
SOME THINGS YOU MAY BE WORKING ON
- Champion user needs by understanding and advocating for user expectations, ensuring that the product meets both functionality and usability standards.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to define requirements, clarify specifications, and provide iterative feedback throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Actively contribute to the QA perspective in project discussions, ensuring alignment with overall project objectives and quality standards.
- Drive continuous improvements in testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and automation coverage, all while prioritizing user needs.
- Work with the QA team to prioritize critical test cases and expedite their automation to ensure timely release cycles.
- Conduct exploratory testing as needed to uncover potential issues and edge cases that are not addressed by existing automated tests.
- Foster strong collaboration with product and engineering teams to ensure smooth and consistent project execution.
- Design, code, and maintain robust automated test scripts using Playwright with TypeScript, tailored to both API and UI testing needs.
- Seamlessly integrate automated tests into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to support continuous testing efforts.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to develop and implement comprehensive test strategies that address both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Execute automated tests across various stages of the development lifecycle, analyze outcomes, identify defects, and generate detailed reports to drive product improvements.
- Identify, document, and resolve testing issues, optimizing test scenarios to minimize execution time and maximize automation efficiency.
- Maintain close interaction with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to fully grasp requirements and ensure the high quality of final deliverables.
- May require manual testing from time to time.
YOU HAVE
- 3-5 years of professional experience in software quality assurance, emphasizing automated testing
- Minimum of 3 years dedicated experience with Playwright and TypeScript, demonstrating a strong capability in developing automated test scripts.
- Extensive experience in dynamic startup environments, showcasing adaptability and rapid problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and robust problem-solving capabilities, essential for effective issue identification and resolution.
- Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills, with a proven ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization.
- Skilled in crafting and executing comprehensive product testing strategies
- Demonstrated success in testing complex software systems under the high demands of a fast-paced startup setting.
- Deep understanding of QA methodologies, diverse testing techniques, and current best practices** to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Proficiency in utilizing major test management tools and systems, such as TestRail, Playwright, and JIRA, to maintain and manage test cases and defects.
- Well-versed in agile development methodologies, especially Kanban, to seamlessly integrate with the existing QA team.
- Proven expertise with automated testing tools,, ideally Playwright and TypeScript, tailored to API and UI automation for thorough system testing.

COMPENSATION RANGE
17 to 21 lakhs plus equity
