Protection Advice Team Sales Manager

Overview

Our Protection proposition is the most exciting growth opportunity in our current objective roadmap and a critical part of revenue contribution in line with Mojo’s growth plans, we’ve grown from a team of 2 to 18 in less than a year and a similar trajectory will continue into 2024. Our Protection Sales Manager position will have the primary role of leading and coaching a sales team and direct line management of the protection advisors, monitoring performance with a keen focus on efficiency and customer experience.

This role will be responsible for communicating the team's KPIs and targets and performance against these on a regular basis, to the team and the wider business.

This role requires an ability to analyse and drive sales performance to create the most efficient and driven team possible, whilst also challenging thinking of opportunity areas for further development. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the business being involved in execution of sales targets and collaborations with numerous internal departments.


Objectives and Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and coaching to drive performance in the Protection team
  • Work with key stakeholders to evolve relevant KPI’s and MI, and develop strategies and sales targets for the teams
  • Enable sales improvements, and take responsibility for the department’s performance against targets
  • Work closely with Mortgage Sales Managers and Mortgage Experts to ensure the highest possible quality of lead provision
  • Identify and successfully implement opportunities to improve efficiencies and conversion with constant process iteration and experimentation to ensure we remain ahead of the market
  • Mentorship and coaching role to Advisors, honing their professional skills and readying them for career progression where appropriate
  • Work closely with the onboarding squad and HR to ensure appropriate resourcing and retention strategies
  • Work closely with the QA team to consistently review appropriateness of working practices and QA coach feedback and training
  • Responsible for ensuring the team are appropriately trained, follow processes set and deliver on the expectations or good customer outcomes and performance
  • Undertake detailed analysis of sales performance for the purpose of reporting sales strategy successes, development areas, and opportunities
  • You will be an advocate of improving the experience for your brokers and customers alike

Requirements

Qualifications: CeMAP 1, 2 & 3 and/or R05

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of working experience in a similar management level position within a regulated, fast-paced and dynamic business environment, preferably working in the position of a Management or Team Leader role
  • Must also have a proven and successful ability to lead a group of sales personnel towards growth in enhanced sales volumes and enhanced revenue generation, while displaying exceptional leadership skills and confidence
  • Must have experience evaluating and analysing raw data, transforming it into actionable sales strategies and approaches

Desirable:

  • In-depth mortgage and lender knowledge including criteria
  • Solid understanding of Mortgage and Insurance FCA regulation and proven application of it

  • Must possess exceptional communication skills to ensure clarity of communication and motivating your team
  • Possess interpersonal skills that will encourage openness and trust, be self-motivated, be adaptable to business growth fluctuations, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and work well under the pressure of stringent deadlines
  • Demonstrate calmness under stressful situations and in uncertainty, inspiring the same in the team.
