Property Advocate

We’re looking for a Property Claims Advocate for contents who will help us settle property losses quickly and efficiently.

As an essential part of the contents insurance team at Lemonade, you'll educate and develop strong, long-lasting relationships with customers. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as underwriting and SIU, to assess risk and investigate losses—all while providing a best-in-class customer experience.

• Communicate with customers by phone and email to settle claims
• Organize and prioritize daily tasks in order to resolve claim-based questions 
• Explain coverage decisions to customers in plain English, without relying on jargon

• 1 year of property claim-handling experience—focused on water events, water losses, and estimating dwelling damage
• Experience working with large national property service vendors such as Serv-Pro and Crawford and Co
• Empathy, patience, positivity, and a passion for outstanding customer experiences
• Comfortable with and adaptable to new technology and business tools
• Xactware experience is an advantage

• Lemonade expects all advocates to have and maintain a license in good standing. If you do not currently have a license, our team will work with you to obtain the license within your first 3 months.

Lemonade's US base salary range for this full-time position is $51,000 - $62,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
