Project Lead, Decentralized Learning

Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Project Lead, Decentralized Learning join our Center of Excellence team.

About the role

You will oversee production initiatives to implement lean, repeatable and scalable tools and techniques and independently represent the team within the broader organization.

You will report to the Associate Operations Manager of Decentralized Learning.

Work Location: 

Oscar is a blended work culture where everyone, regardless of work type or location, feels connected to their teammates, our culture and our mission. 

If you live within commutable distance to our New York City office (in Hudson Square), our Tempe office (off the 101 at University Dr), or our Los Angeles office (in Marina Del Rey), you will be expected to come into the office at least two days each week. Otherwise, this is a remote / work-from-home role.  

You must reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, or Washington, D.C. Pay Transparency:

The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington is: $72,800 - $95,550 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $65,520- $85,995 per year You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar’s unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities
  • Establish and sustain working relationships with Operations Managers, team leads, and frontline colleagues, influence and follow-up with business leaders to ensure action plans align with continuous improvement goals, and participate in collaboration with peers and team members.
  • Implement processes, and mindset shifts supporting the success of outcomes
  • Evaluate daily production outcomes utilizing continuous improvement methodologies and help build remediation plans when outcomes are not aligned to expectations
  • Promote strategy, providing feedback, raising awareness, and driving a continuous improvement mindset across the organization while demonstrating behavioral change and fostering a culture aligned with Oscar's core values.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities that drive or influence the improvement and development of a production team
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience delivering projects in a Production-based environment
  • 1+ years of leadership accountability/experience encompassing direct reports or project teams
  • 2+ years of experience using data to guide improvements
  • 2+ years experience with remote teams and within multiple disciplines
Bonus Points
  • Bachelor's degree or coursework in business, economics, or related fields
  • Lean Six Sigma certification - Green or advanced belt certification
  • PMP Certification or Project Management Certification
  • Project management software experience
  • Experience working in a regulated industry
  • Experience working with BPOs

Pay Transparency: 

Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
