Programmer Analyst I

Human Kinetics is headquartered in Champaign, IL. This position is eligible for on-site or remote work.

Job Summary 

​​As part of the development team, the Programmer Analyst 1 will be focused on creating and integrating new and existing applications as well as supporting and improving legacy solutions.   

Essential Functions 

  1. Participate throughout the Software Development life cycle. 
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and develop software solutions. 
  3. Write clean, scalable, and efficient code based on provided specifications.  
  4. Perform routine maintenance and development of software products. 
  5. Test and deploy software applications and systems. 
  6. Revise, update, refactor and debug code. 
  7. Provide documentation throughout the Software Development Life Cycle. 
  8. Participate in the Change Management process, ensuring that all changes are documented, tested, and applied in a coordinated manner. 
  9. Gather and evaluate user feedback to improve software performance. 
  10. Provide technical support for end-users and address Tech Helps in a timely manner. 
  11. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies. 

Secondary Functions 

  1. Assist other Development team members. 
  2. Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hour services.

Job Qualifications

Education: 

​​2-year programming degree, certifications, or equivalent professional experience​ required. 

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Experience:

​​2-3 years of proven experience as a C# Developer or similar role required.

Preferred Experience: 

2-3 years of professional experience with:

Job Demands

Office Equipment: Frequent computer usage, occasional phone usage, and rare use of a copier. 

Mental Demands: Frequent data interpretation, reading/writing, analysis, and troubleshooting. Occasional solution building, decision-making, designing, organization, and negotiation.

Working Conditions: Indoor, office environment.

Physical Demands: Frequent sitting, Occasional standing/walking. Rarely driving, lifting > 10lbs., or carrying items.
