About us: Shareable is an award-winning nonprofit media outlet and action network with a mission to empower communities to share for a more resilient, equitable, and joyful world. In collaboration with global partners, we inspire social change through storytelling, advocacy, and organizing — with a mandate to prioritize high-potential, under-resourced communities.
Shareable creates unique, high-impact programming that combines storytelling expertise and grassroots organizing. In that spirit, we recently launched a new core program designed to empower local communities to cultivate social infrastructure through collaborative education and collective action. SolidarityWorks facilitates “Co-labs” that include 12-month “deep dives” into rotating social infrastructure topics (the inaugural being Libraries of Things), and feature live webinars, comprehensive resource toolkits, capacity-building grants, and paid fellowships to help launch projects in historically marginalized communities. The program also includes shorter, 2-3 month Co-Labs that crowdsource best practices in the field and animate how-to guides to empower more people to adopt and build upon proven sharing practices in their own communities.
About you: You are passionate, mission-driven, and have previous nonprofit program management experience. You thrive in opportunities to forge new paths and are comfortable navigating the conflicts encountered and changes necessary along the way. You have a collaborative, innovative spirit and will help us passionately build and strengthen the sharing movement — across the US and around the world.
