We’re looking for a Program Manager to support our Project Management and Quality Assurance team.

Job Summary

In this role as Program Manager, you'll act as the liaison and champion dedicated to our client’s success by ensuring proper implementation and consistent execution of your collection of projects.  You'll manage all projects within the program or a subset.  Working in conjunction with the PRMO, you'll monitor the progress of projects in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization.  You'll coordinate cross-project activities, look for efficiencies, and provide strategic guidance, and may be required to establish and enforce processes & procedures to achieve the program goals.



What You'll Do
  • Engagement with PMs across the account to facilitate cross-functional project communication, gauge account health at a project level to ensure collaboration amongst the different account teams and recognize efficiencies.
  • Evaluate and assess the programs’ strengths and weaknesses
  • Monitor projects and collaborate with project managers to ensure goals are met
  • Lead and/or help develop key operational initiatives for the account (e.g., budget planning process across projects, portfolio management, and collaborative communications)
  • Reviews the strategic account to relate current state to strategic stakeholders (e.g., Account Director, VP, EVP, etc.) to provide an overall health of the account to include line of sight items coming down the pipeline, usable T&M funding, areas of risk, etc. 
  • Maintains account Financial Health Smartsheet dashboards which feed into a larger dashboard to provide metrics and show insight into overall account budget burn rate, fee revenue, efficiency, usable T&M funds, etc. This serves an additional purpose to scrutinize projects to determine accurate scoping and cost comparisons for contracts.
  • Coordinate and consolidate schedules across multiple frameworks.
  • Centralize training efforts to ensure all delivery teams have the training needed to perform at Coalfire’s level of quality across the account, which may also maximize opportunities to highlight best practices and shared learnings across the account.
  • Ensure project management and delivery tools are updated to reflect status of projects.
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and track status of client meetings
  • Meet with stakeholders to discuss program status and goals
  • Organize daily activities based on goals of the programs
  • Partner with stakeholders across the organization
  • May require the use and management of client tools and services
  • Ensures that consistent project management tools and practices are used across team.
  • Build and maintain a program dashboard to track projects health (scope, budget, schedule, risks, and issues)
  • Define the program governance
  • Produce accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle.
  • Analyze program risks
  • Apply change, risk, and resource management
  • Assess program performance and aim to maximize ROI


  • What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of Project/Program management experience and experience managing IT and/or software engineering projects
  • Experience working in a Professional Services organization
  • Knowledge of Agile, SDLC, CI/CD
  • A proven track record of managing and executing large, complex projects using PMI & Agile methods
  • Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced organization and effectively dealing with shifts in priority
  • Developed and managed status reporting and development of critical milestones and status of projects for executive and board reporting
  • Successful track record of setting and meeting project deadlines on time and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
  • Strong experience in coordinating with cross-functional teams. Must have experience working with remotely distributed teams
  • Competency in a Smartsheet, OpenAir, or similar project and professional services tools
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science or Engineering
  • PMI Project Management Professional Certification

    At Coalfire, equal opportunity and pay equity is integral to the way we do business. A reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role is $78,000 to $135,000 based on national salary averages. The actual salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, geographic location, training, licensure and certifications and other factors. You may also be eligible to participate in annual incentive, commission, and/or recognition programs.
