About the Role:

As a Machine Learning Product Manager at Paytm, you will be responsible for defining and executing the product strategy for our machine learning initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, designers, and business stakeholders, to develop and deliver innovative ML-driven features and solutions that meet the needs of our customers and drive business growth.

Expectations/Requirements:

- Define the product vision and strategy for machine learning-driven products, aligning with the overall company goals.

Identify opportunities to integrate machine learning into existing products or develop new ML-driven products.

Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to define product requirements, specifications, and technical architecture for ML projects.

Prioritize and manage the product roadmap, ensuring that machine learning projects are executed in a timely and effective manner.

Work closely with UX/UI designers to create user-friendly and intuitive interfaces for ML features.

Incorporate user feedback and data-driven insights into product development, constantly iterating to improve user experiences.

Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of ML products.

Address ethical considerations, potential biases, and fairness in machine learning products, ensuring responsible and unbiased AI applications.

Stay informed about the latest developments in the machine learning field and apply relevant knowledge to product strategy.

Superpowers/ Skills that will help you succeed in this role:

- Should have a Bachelor’s / Masters or an equivalent degree, preferably in engineering or management and should have at least 2-5 years of product management experience and leading technology data products

-Prior experience as an internal product manager or prior experience with a data catalog (preferably Datahub)Experience in other metadata management solutions such as Informatica, Collibra, Erwin, Alation is also taken into account.

- Experience in metadata management - Business Glossary, Business & Technical Metadata, Lineage, data dictionaries, ETL is essential.

- Knowledge of Data products, data journey, data ecosystem and market trends is highly desirable

-A successful PM in this role would require a strong executive presence, ability to work effectively with remote teams, and a proven track record of taking end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results

-Experience as a software engineer and working with distributed teams is preferred but not required

-Ability to easily transition from high-level strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution

- Entrepreneurial spirit, comfortable working in a complex and face-paced environment

- Analytical and data-driven, you love digging into the data to analyze what’s happening and define and measure success on every project.

 Qualifications:

Proven experience in a product management role, with a strong understanding of machine learning and AI technologies.

Familiarity with common machine learning algorithms and their practical applications .

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven mindset.

Experience with user-centered design principles and incorporating user feedback into product development.

Knowledge of ethical considerations and potential biases in machine learning applications.

Familiarity with industry trends and competitive products in the machine learning space.
