About the Opportunity:

As a Business Analyst Sr – Data Integrations your focus will be building out a modern loan servicing platform used by lenders and servicers in the consumer and mortgage lending markets. You will work with internal and external clients to validate, test, and implement new business features, business rules, workflows, and upgrades to existing features or data integrations that are required to support regulatory requirements and mortgage loan servicing business operations. Your collaborative nature will allow you to successfully work directly with the engineering, product, and compliance teams to develop and unit test the new features. You may also create product documentation to support those features and internal and external training documentation. Your deep understanding of the entire servicing landscape and the complexity with mortgage servicing will contribute to your success as you focus on both servicer and consumer user experience.

Your Day-to-Day at Sagent:  

  • Collaborate with team members and business partners at various levels to research and validate functional requirements.
  • Create documentation detailing requirements and acceptance criteria for use in solution design.
  • Participate in aspects of product validation testing, creating and documenting test cases and plans throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
  • Support definition and prioritization of the product backlog.
  • Support delivery of features and capabilities throughout the entire development process.
  • Create product documentation to or release notes to enable internal and external platform documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members throughout the Software Development Life Cycle process for requirements gathering, feedback on proposed designs and models, acceptance testing, and definition of done review.
  • Translate data analytics into summarized information that is leveraged in key decisions for the platform.
  • Create and participate in the presentation of information to key stakeholders at various levels.
  • Support technical and QA teams as they deliver the technical solution.  
  • Assist with training on new product features for client services, implementation consultants, other internal clients, and internal cross-functional teams.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:  

  • 5+ years in the Mortgage Servicing industry is preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in software development, finance, or 5-7 year in other related fields
  • Knowledge of current mortgage servicing regulatory climates and its impacts on the lending process 
  • Experience working in a product development lifecycle environment using Agile methodologies such as a Scrum or KanBan
  • Experience working with on and offshore teams is required 
  • Experience analyzing data
  • Ability to think about ideas abstractly and transition those ideas into tactical actions
  • Superior planning skills with the ability to handle large workload and facilitate the activities of dynamic workgroups
  • Can manage multiple activities and initiatives at once
  • Can build relationships across business groups and with clients
  • Power user of MS Excel, MS Word, MS Visio and MS PowerPoint, familiarity with ADO a plus
  • Experienced with building SaaS products
  • Ability to travel ~20% annually
