The team
We're a committed, experienced, and compassionate team with former Amazon, Mozilla, and TransferWise alumni pioneering remote working practices. You’ll join a collaborative group of professionals from many different backgrounds, who’ve built and scaled large teams and products.
The role
We are looking for experienced people manager hire for 10-12 months as maternity cover until the end of September 2024 for our people experience manager. You’ll be the first point of contact for the team on everything HR related. You’ll own the HR onboarding and offboarding experience, employee administration, visa process, HR compliance and help teams with hiring. You’ll identify and build the processes and strategy as we scale building the team in the process.
You will
Look after our global HR experience. Manage onboarding admin, contracts, probations, new hire support, HR system, employer brand, maintaining and improving our benefits package.
Quickly build credible partnering relationships with people managers and colleagues
Be the point of contact for all managers and employees, providing support and guidance on the full range of HR issues, e.g. pay, benefits, holidays.
Process monthly global payroll, assure and manage our HR compliance, including in the various states in the US.
Process visa applications, admin and renewal.
Assist with international benefits research and implementation. Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of HR policies, processes and standard operating procedures.
Ensure Human Resource matters are handled fairly and consistently in line with legal and company requirements.
Implement health and wellbeing initiatives.
Support hiring manager with their hiring by creating job specs, helping to manage recruitment portals, keeping workable up to date and supporting with running recruitment processes
Requirements
Experience in HR: working with visas, contracts, payroll processing, performance management processes, setting up and running processes. Familiarity with US HR a bonus.
Experience in hiring.
Proven experience of managing small HR teams in a fast growing company to high-performance, driving team engagement, growing competencies and skills.
You have experience in established companies and the full employee cycle.
You’re a great communicator and a people person.
Comfortable and enjoy working in a fast changing environment.
Focus on accuracy and quality of outputs.
Ability to work with limited supervision.
