Salary: $74,520 Plus Benefits



Overview:


The CDC Foundation is working with CDC and state and local authorities to provide surge staff to support surveillance, prevention and response activities within the State Funded Projects program. The CDC Foundation seeks candidates for an Outreach Support Coordinator. The Outreach Coordinator will work to inform training and communication efforts associated with drug overdose prevention.



Minimum Qualifications:


· A Bachelor’s degree in public health, the social sciences, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred

· Minimum of 2 years related work experience

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Excellent organization and project management skills, managing multiple projects simultaneously with competing timelines

· Experience conducting interviews and focus groups in-person and remotely

· Experience coding qualitative data

· Demonstrated knowledge in overdose prevention, substance use disorder treatment, harm reduction, recovery, and/or drug policy

· Demonstrated ability to work well independently and within teams

· Experience working in a virtual environment with remote partners and teams

· Ability to work effectively with diverse partners and stakeholders

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and Zoom, as well as statistical software such as SPSS, R, or SAS



Responsibilities:


· Develop education campaigns and training sessions for the general public, and internal and external stakeholders

· Conduct interviews and focus groups with at-risk individuals

· Develop surveys and other tools to collect data associated with drug use and overdose

· Train others in leading focus groups and in conducting interviews

· Analyze qualitative data collected in interviews and focus groups and write up the results in a summary report

· Collaborate with epidemiologists to develop qualitative interview guides to complement quantitative data

· Collaborate with communications staff to ensure materials encompass data collected and inform communications strategy

· Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders

· Gather and disseminate information of overdose research and opportunities for continuing education
