Job Description

The People Strategy team seeks an individual contributor who can holistically view the entire Block ecosystem to improve critical people-related priorities. You will play an important part in supporting leaders and managers in managing and promoting changes guided by the business and people strategy. You will report to the Head of Global People Strategy and Planning for Block.

Over time, the role will support improving organizational effectiveness through change support activities, insight-driven action, progress monitoring, and review.

You Will:

  • Develop and implement change management plans to ensure employees adopt new initiatives with minimal resistance. 

  • Partner with internal comms and leadership to create change management plans that support global People initiatives. These plans will address communications, capability, capacity, culture, partner management and targeted audience solutions to ensure successful organizational and behavioral change. 

  • Collaborate with and advise program leads across the People Team and provide practical support for activities within the change management plans. 

  • Work closely with People Strategy Partners, PMO, and the Process Excellence team to ensure that large-scale initiatives and incubation projects are operationally ready. 

  • Translate system and process changes into clear actions for employees and partners. 

  • Monitor and review the implementation and effectiveness of the change management plans. Make necessary adjustments to improve impact where needed.

  • Create a comprehensive framework or playbook outlining the principles, methodologies, and best practices for effectively managing organizational change.

  • Standardize change management processes and procedures across different projects and initiatives to ensure consistency and alignment with organizational goals.

  • Assess the organization's readiness for change by identifying potential barriers, risks, and challenges that may hinder successful implementation.



Qualifications

You Have:

  • At least five years of work experience in organizational change and development. Experience in the FinTech or tech industry is ideal.

  • Knowledge of the product design process within HR, and familiarity with implementing enterprise-wide change.

  • A history building trusting relationships, gain credibility, and partner with leaders and peers.

  • A passion for employee engagement and creating an environment where employees can excel.

  • Project management skills, including proficiency with tools like Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, and a comprehensive understanding of change management principles and methodologies.



Additional Information

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: USD $135,200 - USD $202,800
Zone B: USD $125,800 - USD $188,600
Zone C: USD $119,000 - USD $178,400
Zone D: USD $108,200 - USD $162,200
