Organisational Change and Effectiveness Lead

We are searching for a visionary leader to join our team as Organisational Change and Effectiveness Lead and drive transformational change and optimise organisational performance.

Our organisation is constantly growing, with many homes and thousands of residents and employees across Victoria, New south Wales and Tasmania. Respect also has home care services in multiple states, and more than 700 units in different retirement villages and independent living communities.

The position:

The Organisational Change and Effectiveness Lead will develop, implement and oversee a consistent company-wide approach to effective change management, change engagement and communications, assess change impact at all levels and identify organisational design and effectiveness risks and opportunities.

This role is critical in supporting the organisation through complex growth and change applying fit-for-purpose change systems, tools and processes, and providing coaching and advice to support a successful growth and change agenda.

The role partners closely with the Respect Transition team and People and Culture Business Partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Change Management:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop comprehensive change management strategies aligned with organisational objectives.
  • Assess the impact of proposed changes and develop plans to mitigate potential risks and resistance.
  • Design communication plans to ensure transparency and engagement throughout the change process.
  • Develop and implement change processes for consultation (e.g. with unions and employees).

Organisational Design and Effectiveness:

  • Analyse current organisational structures, processes, and systems to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead initiatives to redesign organisational structures, roles, and responsibilities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement change management methodologies to support organizational redesign efforts.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communications:

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders at all levels to foster buy-in and support for change initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver tailored communication plans to ensure stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the change process.
  • Provide coaching and support to leaders and employees to effectively communicate and manage change.

Change Implementation and Executions:

  • Develop and execute detailed change management plans, including training programs, to support the implementation of organisational changes.
  • Monitor progress, identify barriers, and implement corrective actions to ensure successful implementation of change initiatives.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of change efforts and identify areas for continuous improvement.

Continuous Improvement

  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in change management and organisational design.
  • Lead or contribute to internal initiatives aimed at improving organisational effectiveness and driving cultural transformation.
  • Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues to build organisational capability in change management and organisational design.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in change management and communications, organisational design and effectiveness.
  • Experience implementing effective change for people, systems and organisational changes.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in human resources / People and Culture roles.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Endorsement (or ability to acquire).
  • National Police Check

Desirable:

  • Experience in Aged Care and/or health care settings.
  • Experience in contemporary Project Management.
  • Experience with contemporary HRIS / HCM platforms.
