*Responsibilities:*

*Looking for strong Oracle PL/SQL developer with expertise in UNIX scripting and Web services or API.*



Responsibilities: (Day to Day Work Activities)

· Analyze, design, develop, implement, and support for Client’s projects using various advanced technologies and tools such as: Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, Unix Shell scripting, SQL Navigator, TOAD, SQL\*Loader, Putty, Crontab, Tortoise CVS version control, WinSCP, MoveIT, JIRA etc.

· Modify existing software to correct errors, allow to adapt new hardware, or to improve its performance using Oracle SQL, PL/SQL API’s and UNIX shell scripts.

· Store, retrieve, and manipulate third party data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements using the Oracle utilities such as SQL \*Loader, Data Pump, CLOB, UTL Utilities, and XML Utilities.

· Design, develop and modify complex software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome using Oracle concepts like Bulk Collect, FORALL, Collections (Associative arrays, nested tables, arrays), and LISTAGG effectively.

· Confer with systems analysts, front-end engineers, brand team members and others to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces with the help of tools like JIRA, MoveIT, & Microsoft Visio.

· Extract the production data and send the confidential customers information to requestor and third-party vendors using MoveIT secure transfer tool.

· Monitoring and optimizing database query performance using Oracle features such as Auto trace, and Explain Plan.

· Create, run and manage the Oracle jobs in the Production environment using DBMS\_JOB, DBMS\_SCHEDULER and CRONTAB utilities.

· Collaborate with others to determine the Oracle coding standards and guidelines for the new enhancements.

· Coordinate with DBA for software system installation and monitor system functioning to ensure specifications are met.

· Handling Production issues like Performance issues, Job failures, corrupted Indexes and data Load issues on regular basis.



Technical Platform: Oracle 10g & 11g (SQL, PL/SQL), Unix Shell scripting, Perl scripting, SQL Navigator, Putty, CVS, WinScp, MoveIT, Jira, Crontab
