Your role:

Reporting directly to the Director of Public Affairs, the Policy Partnerships Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our policy partnerships strategy, driving HopSkipDrive's long-term policy objectives. In this role, you will engage with influential leaders across diverse fields, including politics, transportation, accessibility, equity, inclusivity, and school districts. Your responsibilities will encompass nurturing and overseeing these relationships while promoting our brand at both national and local levels. What you will do:

  • Develop, organize, and oversee HopSkipDrive's national policy partnerships
  • Promote HopSkipDrive's mission across the nation, securing partner op-eds, letters of support, and in-person advocacy on critical issues
  • Identify and engage with key contacts in HopSkipDrive markets
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across the HopSkipDrive team to drive outreach and brand education efforts
  • Identify research opportunities and source experts to lead these efforts

What you'll need:

  • A minimum of 8 years of political or relevant business development experience, with a preference for those experienced in government relations-related partnerships
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset and resourcefulness
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, organizational prowess, and program management skills
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and multi-stakeholder environment
  • Self-driven and intrinsically motivated
  • A natural connector and adept relationship builder
  • Outstanding communication skills in written, verbal, and presentation formats—a compelling storyteller
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
  • Passionate about promoting transportation equity, particularly for students, including those in foster care, experiencing homelessness, or with special needs

The salary range for this role is $80,000 to $90,000 a year.  Final compensation for this role will be determined by several factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skill set and specific work location. The total compensation package for this role also includes equity stock options.
