About the role:
We’re looking to hire a full-time, remote Mid Level DevOps Engineer. For this role, your primary focus will be collaborating with a team of developers to create and implement software applications and components. You’ll have the opportunity to choose your hours and work and learn with a team of world-class engineers and designers through a commitment to team collaboration, communication, and product quality.
Seniority Level: Mid-Senior Level
Responsibilities
Responsible for managing the infrastructure required for software development, deployment, and testing.
Configure and maintain servers, databases, networking, and storage systems.
Monitor the system’s health, performance, and availability.
Establish proper logging practices to facilitate debugging and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with development teams to understand their needs and help them deploy code faster and more efficiently.
Implement and maintain a CI/CD pipeline for the development team, enabling continous integration, testing and delivery of software changes.
Automate repetitive tasks and write scripts to enable efficient and consistent operations, including deployment, testing, and monitoring.
Manage the version control system and ensure that the codebase is stable, secure, and up to date.
Requirements
At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and its services (EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, Elastic Load Balancer, API Gateway, AutoScaling Group, Cloud Formation, CloudWatch, EventBridge, Lambda, S3, SQS, RDS, etc.
AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification
Experience with Infrastructure as Code and CDK.
Fundamental knowledge or experience of Infrastructure as Service (IaaS) like CloudFormation.
Experience with container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
Experience with GitHub Enterprise (GitHub Actions, branches, etc.)
Experience with CI/CD tools
Full-time availability (40 hours/week).
A personal computer with stable internet.
Nice-to-haves
AWS Solutions Architect Certification
Experience with Cloudflare
Infrastructure as Code: Terraform
AWS Services: Route53, SNS, ECR, ECS, EKS, DynamoDB, CodeStar
Experience in coding with Javascript
