Mid Character Animator

Red Star 3D are seeking a talented MID CHARACTER ANIMATOR to work remotely on our production of stop-motion-style BBC Christmas Special for Magic Light Pictures.

The job:

• Animate dramatic character performances, both dialogue and pantomime
• Animate biped and quadruped characters in a distinctive stop-motion style
• Animate vehicles, props, cameras and other scene elements as necessary

Must have:

• Efficient, confident animation style for non-photorealistic characters
• Basic technical animation skills
• Two years production experience (minimum)
• Experience with Maya

Nice to have:

• Feature film / high-end TV experience
• Good sketching and drawing skills
• Experience with stop-motion style animation
• Acting/improv skills
• Experience with Shotgrid

Contract term: January - July 2024 (TBC)

Salaries/term negotiable.
