Stronger is an affiliate-driven health care transformation office designed by, for, and with affiliate leadership across the country. We are focused on strengthening affiliates and facilitating the innovation needed to build the Planned Parenthood of the future.
The Stronger Change Office (SCO) seeks a dynamic and creative Market Analyst. This role will provide analytic support to affiliate partners on market analysis-related initiatives and enable evidence-driven decision-making across the Federation through the acquisition, support, and use of data and analytic tools.
This role will be situated within SCO and will report to the Associate Director of Market Analysis. It is a dynamic role that will evolve based on the needs and priorities collectively identified by Stronger affiliates.

Purpose: The Market Analyst sustains the team’s performance by anticipating and supporting market analysis needs of the Stronger Change Office, including conducting market and ad hoc analysis and sharing actionable insights with affiliates. They will analyze data, present findings, and develop technical and user-facing materials and documentation. They will identify possible roadblocks and recommend possible solutions for how to resolve them.
Delivery: In this role we are looking for someone who is naturally curious, enjoys working with data, and isn’t afraid to ask questions. They should be able to act independently while knowing when to ask for guidance or direction. They should also be comfortable working with sensitive information, including data about abortion. They need to create effective timelines, sustain the delivery of our services, and incorporate adjustments as needed to accommodate changing demands.
Broadly, this individual will:

●Take initiative by iterating on existing processes, identify problems with existing problems, and propose solutions
Specifically, this individual will:
●Produce reporting/analytic work products within the full lifecycle of development: requirements gathering, design, data acquisition, cleaning, development, testing, documentation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
●Conduct location and other geospatial analysis, including demographics, other health care locations, and drive time studies at a local, regional, and national scale to inform affiliate strategic decision making and business development
●Develop demographic, thematic and suitability maps and other visualizations to provide a profile of the local market
●Assist affiliates and partner with national office staff in providing data and analytic capacity to make and implement data-driven decisions about expanding access to care
Engagement: This role will require collaboration with National Office staff within the SCO department and across various departments within the Federation Engagement and Impact Division. It will also interact with Affiliate leadership on specific projects, but under the guidance from their supervisor or other SCO leadership. They will be a strong communicator, an enthusiastic learner, and self-driven, with an interest in how to analyze and present information to various audiences, including non-technical users.
●Collaborate with SCO leaders, team members, and project stakeholders to complete market analysis projects for affiliates
●Consult with internal and external partners by training end-users and providing technical support, service, and education
●Advise project team on remedial solutions to align requirements to changing demands
●Recommend and implement process improvements to ensure efficiency and streamline internal and cross-team tasks

TECHNICAL SKILLS / EXPERTISE:
●Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
●At least 1 year of professional experience conducting strategic data analysis and delivering that data in actionable insights required; experience in health care or related field preferred
●Experience using ArcGIS (or other spatial analysis software) required
●Experience with statistical packages (STATA, SPSS, and/or R) preferred
●Experience with Tableau, PowerBI or similar business intelligence tool(s) preferred
●Experience with Asana/Smartsheet or other project management tools preferred
●High proficiency in Google products, Asana preferred
●Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
●Experience with practice management and/or electronic health record (EHR) applications preferred
●Strong communication skills, including excellent grammar and writing, required
Travel: This is a telecommuter position. The Analyst will be expected to spend 10-15% of time traveling to meet with Stronger affiliates and other key stakeholders.
