Job Description
Her Campus Media is seeking a Manager of Community who specializes in influencer and campus ambassador communities to join our team full time. This person will play a critical role in strategizing and scaling of our influencer communities including but not limited to engagement, management and growth while also providing thoughtful, strategic recommendations and support throughout the community member experience.

This is a management position and will involve supervising one or more associate-level employees.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Oversee Her Campus Media influencer community strategy and execution, including but not limited to expansion, management, engagement and retention initiatives. Communities include: InfluenceHer Collective, College Fashionista, Campus Trendsetters and their alumni groups
- Strategize, review and approve community-facing materials and programming initiatives (including but not limited to educational resources, newsletters, social media, events and incentives opportunities) based on business goals, may include speaking opportunities
- Determine community promotion and outreach strategies, reviewing application materials, approving prospective influencers, and conducting outreach and follow-ups as needed
- Oversee the growth, performance and management of community social media accounts (@influencehercollective and @campustrendsetters) and groups for Her Campus Media influencer communities, including Instagram, TikTok, Geneva and LinkedIn groups
- Gather and leverage data and analytics to optimize and continuously expand and optimize our processes and offerings, ensuring internal databases and tracking documents are updated with accurate community information
- Collaborate cross-departmentally with editorial, product & engineering, events, business development and integrated marketing on InfluenceHer Collective, College Fashionista and Campus Trendsetters objectives providing key insights and industry expertise to help us win business
- Support Community Leadership in developing, managing and nurturing relationships with influencer talent agencies and strategic partners
- Keep a pulse on college, Gen Z and influencer marketing trends with an eye toward enhancing and innovating Her Campus Media's community offerings and serving as an internal expert by developing new resources and conducting regular trainings with internal teams on best practices
- Assist with special projects as needed, which may include supporting on the management and oversight of the Her Campus Chapter Network, Spoon University Chapter Network and Generation Hired communities
- Manage one or more associate-level employee(s) with possibility of future team growth
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree (or other college degree) preferred
- 3-5 years of community management experience, ideally in-house at a brand and/or managing influencer and brand ambassador relationships and marketing programs
- 1+ years of experience managing and developing junior staff while working on complex projects
- Demonstrated strong interest and knowledge in the influencer marketing industry and Gen Z as well as a pulse on trends in the space
- Strategic thinker with the ability to make decisions, liaise comfortably with external partners, talent managers, influencers/ambassadors, and manage relationships via email, on the phone and in person
- Excellent oral, written and verbal communication skills
- Rigorous attention to detail and eye for design
- Superior organizational abilities
- Self-starter with go-getter attitude, positive and upbeat nature, and excellent work ethic who is a team player and excited about working in a startup environment
- Proficiency in social media, particularly TikTok and Instagram, as well as Mailchimp, Asana, Microsoft Office, Canva and Google Drive a plus

Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000
Final salary offered to the candidate selected for the position will be based on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s skills, experience, and other factors.

Our timeline is to make a hire by July 2023. You can expect 3-4 rounds of interviews, including an initial phone screen and subsequent interviews with leaders on the Community team as well as the Campus & Influencer Marketing team and one of HCM’s Co-Founders. You will be asked to submit a short work sample to demonstrate your understanding and approach for this role.
