Location: Germany Remote

In this role, the Legal Counsel will be part of a team supporting the business with its legal requirements, specifically relating to Germany. The role involves advising on German legal matters principally related to civil, consumer and commercial law, representing entities of the ComeOn Group in court proceedings in Germany and generally assisting and advising on dispute and resolution. 

Responsibilities:

• Advising on German civil, consumer and commercial matters relating to the i-Gaming business of the Group
• Assisting with devising strategies in relation to prospective and open disputes
• Drafting and reviewing court submissions
• Appearing before the courts for hearings
• Drafting, negotiating and reviewing commercial contracts and settlement agreements
• Researching and keeping abreast with developments that affect the work of the Legal Counsel in this role

About you:

• Warranted and registered in the bar association to appear in courts
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant legal litigation experience in civil and commercial law
• Strong litigation background and knowledge of procedural law
• Familiarity with German gambling legal regime
• Very detail-oriented, well organised, works efficiently and takes ownership of work
• Strong work ethic and ability to multitask, prioritise and follow through on numerous assignments simultaneously
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
• Positive outlook and can-do attitude
