The opportunity
Magic Leap’s IT Systems Configuration & Programming roles are responsible for managing and performing work associated with programming and configuration of internal end-user applications that are integrated with business processes/data and IT infrastructure (i.e., an “application system”), including a) Analyzing detailed business/functional/technical requirements and specifications for the application (and related application system components) as input to application design and coding, b) Coding internally developed applications and configuring commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) applications using programming, scripting, and database languages, and c) Supporting application testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolution activities by correcting programming errors, responding to scope changes, and coding application enhancements.
As a Lead Systems Analyst within our Business Technology Solutions team, you will be crucial in managing and optimizing an organization's HR software solutions. You will combine technical expertise with a strong understanding of HR processes to enhance the effectiveness of the HR management system.
What you’ll do
- Lead SAP SuccessFactors implementation projects from start to finish, including planning, design, configuration, testing, and deployment. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Design and implement comprehensive SAP SuccessFactors solutions, integrating various modules and ensuring alignment with stakeholders' needs and industry best practices. Develop and execute complex integration strategies with other SAP and third-party systems.
- Identify and implement process improvements within SuccessFactors modules. Optimize system performance and user experience through continuous analysis and enhancement.
- Customize SuccessFactors modules based on stakeholders-specific requirements and optimize the system for performance and usability. Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders. Communicate project progress, manage expectations, and address concerns effectively.
- Mentor and guide junior consultants and team members. Foster a collaborative team environment and provide training and support as needed.
- Stay abreast of the latest SAP SuccessFactors trends, features, and updates. Advocate for best practices and innovative solutions that drive client success and system efficiency.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to project execution, system performance, and stakeholders' satisfaction. Develop contingency plans and resolve issues as they arise.
- Prepare and review comprehensive documentation, including solution designs, project plans, status reports, and user guides. Ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Oversee the testing process to ensure that all configurations and customizations meet the specified requirements and quality standards.
- Conduct training sessions for end-users and provide post-implementation support to ensure a smooth transition to the new system.
The experience you bring
- 8-10 years of professional experience in HR IT, with hands-on experience in SAP SuccessFactors, with 2-4 years of this experience should be in a leadership or managerial capacity, demonstrating the ability to lead projects, manage teams, and work with stakeholders
- A bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Information Technology, or a related field
- SAP SuccessFactors experience is mandatory. Preference is given to candidates with 7+ years of experience or relevant certifications. Strong knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors modules, including Employee Central, Recruiting, Performance & Goals, Learning Management, and Compensation. At least two years in a lead or senior consultant role. Proven track record of managing and delivering successful SuccessFactors projects
- Systems integration experience involving various HR functions and systems, such as Payroll, Recruiting, Learning Management, and Benefits administration systems
- Demonstrated experience in Software Development Life Cycle
- Highly detailed, organized, and analytical. Possessing an upbeat mentality, working with diverse personalities, and approaching each situation with a customer-focused and solution-oriented mindset. Able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality while balancing day-to-day tasks, projects, and system enhancements and embracing fast-paced organizational change
- Excellent project management skills, with experience using project management tools and methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
