Job Summary
The IT Instructional Designer (Training Program Developer) is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing comprehensive training programs aimed at enhancing the technical skills and knowledge of company stakeholders. This role involves crafting high-quality, engaging, and effective instructional materials for IT-related training courses. This role requires close collaboration with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and educators to ensure the program meets the needs of diverse learners and aligns with industry standards and best practices.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Program Design: Develop and design IT training programs, courses, and modules that address the specific needs of the target audience, whether for internal employees, clients, or external learners.
- Needs Assessment: Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training requirements within the organization or target audience.
- Content Development: Create and curate training materials, including presentations, manuals, videos, hands-on exercises, and eLearning content that cater to various learning styles.
- Technology Integration: Leverage learning technologies, software, and platforms to deliver training programs in various formats, including online, in-person, and blended learning environments.
- Instructional Design: Apply best practices in instructional design to develop engaging and interactive learning experiences that facilitate the retention and application of IT knowledge and skills.
- Program Evaluation: Establish metrics and evaluation tools to assess the effectiveness of training programs, making necessary adjustments based on feedback and performance data.
- Collaboration: Partner with IT leaders, HR, and other stakeholders to align training programs with business objectives and technological advancements.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT training and education to continuously improve training programs.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of training programs, including curricula, participant progress, and program effectiveness. Provide regular reports to management on training outcomes and recommendations for improvement.
Minimum Requirements:
- Trustworthy, self-motivated, responsive and sharp
- Strong listening, verbal, written and presentation communication skills are essential
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, organization skills, time management skills
- Experience in corporate training, technical education, or IT consulting.
- Certification in instructional design, project management, or related areas.
- Experience with virtual training tools and platforms
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and their application in training development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Education, Instructional Design, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in training program development, instructional design, or a related field, with a focus on IT or technical training. Proven experience in creating and delivering technical training programs.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of IT concepts, software, hardware, networking, cybersecurity, and other relevant topics. Proficiency in using eLearning tools, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and multimedia development tools.
- Instructional Skills: Expertise in instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and best practices in training and development. Ability to design training materials that are engaging, interactive, and effective in diverse learning environments.
- Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into easily understandable content.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to assess training needs, analyze program effectiveness, and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.
- Adaptability: Ability to adjust training programs based on feedback, technological advancements, and organizational changes.
- Currently residing in Metro Manila
- Prior leadership experience at work, university or community
