iOS Engineer

At Superset, we’re on a mission to change the way people understand health and fitness. That’s why our team is building an all-in-one health tracking app that equips users with the sleep, strain, and recovery metrics to power their progress.

Superset is seeking an experienced iOS Engineer to play a pivotal role in building our flagship digital health app. You will join a talented, fast-moving Engineering team where you will be responsible for developing new features, implementing bug fixes, and contributing to high-level system design. While we are based in New York, NY, this role is open for both remote- and hybrid- work flexibility.

Please note: This is a remote, hybrid, or onsite 1099 contract position with opportunity for full-time extension.

• Lead development of the iOS app. You'll work on our mobile app at all levels - from building app architecture and business logic to animations, performance, and beyond.

• Be an active contributor. You will contribute to and lead each step of the product development process, from ideation to implementation to release.

• Drive cross-functional partnership. You will be responsible for working with design, product, and ops to build delightful experiences and engage new users.

• Grow with the company. As we grow, we'll build up an engineering team around you. You will be responsible for shaping our engineering process, tooling, and culture.

• You have a BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent majors.

• You have 4+ years of experience building high-quality iOS applications with Swift. You have a deep understanding of iOS development and best practices in Swift or SwiftUI and enjoy keeping up with all technologies related to mobile development.

• You're obsessive with your craft. You are detail-oriented and can build a product that delivers the best experience to your customers. You can't stand bugs and don't shy away from user or team feedback.

• You have exceptional communication and collaboration skills. You are proactive and thoughtful when engaging with your teammates.

• You are constantly looking for ways to scale yourself and others. At Superset we trust each other to scale into new roles and skillsets. You will fit right in if you are excited about tackling and mastering new challenges.

• You have a strong bias for action. You don't need to be told what to do and are not afraid to drive initiatives. When you see a feature or process that can be improved, you suggest a solution, align with the team, and get right to building it.

• You have built a notable consumer health app.

• You have experience building Apple Watch apps and widgets.

• You have expertise with HealthKit.

• You have experience and interest in working at all layers of the mobile stack.
