Investor Onboarding & Accreditation Specialist

Parallel Markets is seeking an accreditation operations coordinator to join our rapidly growing team.  

We are looking for a compliance professional with 3–5 years of experience in the customer onboarding, customer success, quality assurance and/or customer due diligence space. Other applicable backgrounds may be considered if the candidate demonstrates ability to navigate the space quickly. Intellectual curiosity and attention to detail are a must. 

About Parallel Markets

Private markets are shifting to online platforms at a rate of tens of billions of dollars a year. As part of regulatory requirements, investors must upload extensive financial and personal documentation. This process is painful and repetitive and leads to significant investor drop-off.

Parallel Markets significantly reduces this pain point by allowing investors to go through the verification process once, then enabling users to log in anywhere using a portable investor identity. Accredit once, invest anywhere.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include accredited investor application review, customer support and quality assurance across the accreditation verifications team. This involves a significant amount of client interaction, document review, independent thinking and team management. Our clients will expect you to be an expert in the space; we expect you to develop a thorough understanding of the regulatory and practical issues at hand. 

You will also ensure that all our customer support meets our established standards of quality and timeliness. You will conduct daily sweeps of accreditation applications and inbound customer success tickets, review analyst communications and establish a repeatable, scaleable and professional organization for interacting with our customers and end-users.

Requirements
  1. Highly detail-oriented
  2. Excellent interpersonal and writing skills
  3. Previous experience collecting / reviewing: legal agreements, proof of income documentation and/or proof of net worth documentation

Strong preference will be given to candidates who have:

  • A background in financial compliance or knowledge of financial laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of Reg D 506(c) offerings
  • Experience helping non-technical people navigate technical solutions
  • Experience working with online equity platforms
  • Experience in Quality Assurance or Audit functions
Compensation / Benefits

In addition to a salary range of $85K for this position, Parallel provides equity grants as well as a competitive benefits package (health/vision/dental insurance, 401k, home office setup, unlimited paid leave, and more).

Note: while we are a remote-first company, this position will require in-person training during the first year of employment. Candidates should be able to commute to our New York office.
