Fully Remote

Salary up to £38k

Maternity Cover – 12 Months

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Insight & Planning Analyst to join the Commercial Strategy Team, reporting into the Director of Commercial Strategy.

This is a great time to join us, with some exciting growth programmes coming up!

You will have responsibility of providing insights and recommendations to map the opportunities and approaches for key commercial growth initiatives, by analysing both existing and new market data as well as data within Sysco GB to provide a full opportunity analysis. You will build bespoke tools and systems t allow this insight to be utilised and refines from the start of the initiative throughout its lide span.

Within each initiative you’ll provide the next level of insight, data and recommendations to drive the targeting of actions and activities for sales colleagues, ensuring the accuracy of this content and its translation into workable sales colleague solutions.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Analyse market data to define the insight and analytics to shape the strategic direction for commercial initiatives
  • Collaborate with the Director of Commercial Strategy to support the strategic objectives and definition with clear and measurable targets aligned to the insight
  • Lead the delivery of the insight and analytics as part of the communication process to gain buy-in to the strategic plan, managing any additional asks, builds or changes arising from the process
  • Create effective reporting and measurement processes aligned to the identified opportunities
  • Develop the tools and approach needed to take this insight and analytics through all elements of the strategic plan into commercial execution, making decisions on the development of bespoke tools / systems to address problems in data gathering and modelling
  • Engage across the sales teams to provide clear analytics based on the initial data to gain commitment, managing any further asks for additional data throughout this process
  • Design and deliver all, relevant analytics and insights to the sales teams through established, or if needed new routes, to support the execution of the activity and allow the sales teams to achieve their targets
  • Continually review the performance of the activity against the opportunities, collaborating with the Director of Commercial Strategy, and the strategy team, to course correct or re-shape the approach
  • Input data analyses into CI and operational efficiency initiatives

 

What we are looking for:

  • Data analysis skills across multiple sources of internal data SAP, BW & SalesForce
  • Experience of data sourcing of relevant external data
  • Data analysis skills across multiple sources of external data – CHD, CACI
  • Experience in statistical analysis and modelling
  • Experience of using Tableau for reporting and tool builds
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • A high degree of business acumen
  • Excellent communication skills in order to communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand data content and business issues – at exec level down
  • Confident clear presentation skills – creating and delivering content
  • Execution of insight into commercial activities i.e., the data Is telling us x what should we do
  • Relationship-building skills with the ability to influence
  • Planning and organisation skills with the ability to manage concurrent data analysis projects
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills to address issues with data collation and the design of effective data analysis processes.
