Growth Product Manager

Who We Are

At Gretel, our mission is to build the best developer platform for synthetic data.  Gretel's APIs automatically fine-tune AI models to generate synthetic data on-demand while protecting privacy and maintaining the utility and accuracy of the original data.  Our platform solves the data bottleneck problem for developers, data scientists, and AI/ML researchers across multiple modalities including tabular, time-series, relationship, language and image.

We’re a highly collaborative remote company with employees across the US & Canada. Our innovative and transparent culture offers employees the autonomy, tools, and trust to act like owners and we're looking for a talented Growth Product Manager to join our mission!

The Impact You’ll Have

At Gretel, you will be working on ways to make access to data safer, easier and faster without compromising privacy. You'll be building cutting-edge technology to automate the process of synthetic data generation that is provably private using techniques like differential privacy.

We are seeking a talented and hands-on Growth Product Manager to join our team and drive user acquisition, retention, and engagement. This role will play a crucial part in analyzing product adoption trends, identifying high-intent users, and optimizing the overall growth strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, and Marketing, to define and execute the product growth strategy.

  • Analyze product adoption trends and user behavior data to identify opportunities for acquisition, retention, and engagement improvements.

  • Utilize data analysis tools and techniques to segment users and identify high-intent users for targeted growth initiatives.

  • Work closely with the Lead Product Growth Engineer to instrument the product and track user behavior using tools like Segment.

  • Collaborate with Growth Marketing to align growth initiatives with lead generation and conversion measurement efforts.

  • Leverage SQL (Snowflake) and other relevant tools to extract and analyze data, generate insights, and drive data-informed decision-making.

  • Identify and implement growth experiments, A/B tests, and optimizations to improve user acquisition, activation, and retention; engage directly with customers to better understand pain points.

  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics related to acquisition, retention, and engagement, and report findings to the leadership team.

  • Collaborate with the Design team to optimize user onboarding, enhance the user experience, and drive growth.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging growth strategies to ensure our product remains competitive.

Requirements

  • 5+ years proven experience as a Product Manager, Growth Manager, Data Analyst or similar role, with a focus on user acquisition, retention, and engagement.

  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in data analysis, SQL (experience with Snowflake preferred), and Jupyter notebooks.

  • Proficiency in utilizing data analysis tools, such as Segment, and business intelligence tools, such as Looker Studio, to track and analyze user behavior.

  • Experience working closely with engineers to instrument products for data tracking and analysis.

  • Solid understanding of growth methodologies, A/B testing, and experimentation frameworks.

  • Ability to derive actionable insights from data and translate them into growth strategies.; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven, with a passion for driving product growth and improving user experiences.

We think the best ideas come from the blending of diverse perspectives and experiences, which will lead to a stronger company and advancements in technologies.  We hire individuals whose peers call them subject matter experts, whose curiosity draws them to new edges of their field and who like to laugh.  We are deeply collaborative, apolitical and mission-oriented.
