THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Growth Manager, focusing on driving growth across our Marketing service line. In this role, you will support the net-new pitch process, working alongside senior growth leaders to qualify net new opportunities, develop pitch win strategies, and project manage pitches from end to end. While the Marketing service line delivers solutions across the gamut of advertising, media + creative, social media, influencer marketing and more; there may also be opportunities and expectations to support growth initiatives across the gamut of DEPT®’s capabilities including technology, product design and development, ecommerce, innovation, emerging technology, systems integration, and much more.

 

JOB PURPOSE

As part of the sales team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying and acquiring new clients for DEPT® 's Marketing service line, with a focus on selling advertising creative, media, social and influencer / creator marketing solutions.

To be successful in this role, it is imperative to have a curious, commercially focused mind. A successful candidate will be very detail oriented, organized, able to juggle multiple projects and workstreams, and bring the ability to manage end to end new business pitch processes.

You must be able to quickly build trust and rapport with clients, ask the right questions, bring excellent communication skills, and demonstrate ability to not only manage your own time effectively, but also to keep cross-functional teams organized and aligned to a single vision. 

The successful candidate will also have a proven track record of managing administrative tasks and will bring great sales and data hygiene skills and record upkeep in Salesforce.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be an initial point of contact for new client opportunities, asking the right questions to make informed prioritization decisions
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to create business development materials, including pitch documents, presentation decks, and case studies
  • Research new business prospects to qualify opportunities and uncover valuable client insights to drive our approach
  • Create prospect client reports and summaries quickly and effectively
  • Define POVs around new business leads detailing the areas of opportunity and strategic winning approach 
  • Craft case studies, manage our content repositories, and maintain our business development database to ensure we have an accurate picture of our CRM efforts
  • Manage pitches and proposals from start to finish, including the development of pitch strategies alongside product management, strategy, design, and engineering teams
  • Track creative and business trends to spot opportunities to smartly target potential client partners across a variety of industries

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Essential:

  • 3-5 years of experience in agency or consultancy growth, sales, or client services
  • Self-starter: Someone who thrives in a deadline-oriented environment and is highly organized. You can manage multiple tasks with ease, strategically prioritize them, and analyze opportunities to make recommendations on approaches
  • Comfortable trying new things, quick to learn new skills, and able to proactively identify new opportunities
  • A self-starter attitude that thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to coordinate projects across multiple teams and functions
  • Well-versed and passionate about digital experiences, branding, creative, and tech
  • A strong communicator offering both excellent writing skills as well as impressive presentation skills.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, expertise, and organizational impact. This is based on a 40-hour workweek and leveling. Keep in mind, we're flexible.
