Full-Stack Software Engineer

Bluesight is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to work on our KitCheck product. KitCheck is the leading medication management solution that leverages RFID technology to provide our customers with actionable insights on medications used throughout the hospital.

What you'll bring to Bluesight:

6+ years in a Software Engineer role

Love of solving problems and building things at scale

Recent experience using Python with Flask / FastAPI or Ruby on Rails.

Experience with job queueing technologies such as Sidekiq or Celery

History of building production applications

Understanding of software engineering best practices (code reviews, source control, build processes, unit testing, etc.)

Extensive experience working with APIs and knowledge of HTTP and REST principles

Strong understanding of relational databases and related topics (data modeling, diagnosing slow queries, etc.)

Proficiency in HTML and CSS

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar

Sense of ownership and passion in your work

It would be great if you also have:

Familiarity with Continuous Integration tools

Experience transforming monolithic services to container based services or integrating external technologies

Knowledge of a modern frontend framework (React, Angular, etc.)

Subject matter familiarity with EMR, RFID, RTLS, Hospital Pharmacy Interactions, Pharmaceutical Companies, or with building software for unique hardware devices

Technical architectural design skills for scaling technologies

Passion for mentoring less experienced engineers

This position is a remote position and open to applicants in the continental United States.
