How you will contribute:
We’re searching for a resourceful and enthusiastic Financial Crime Team Lead, whose main responsibility is to lead a First Line FinCrime Operations Detection Team which will be appropriate for a growing regulated organisation.

Requirements
About You
While not essential, the following experience and qualifications are highly desirable in our ideal candidate for this position.
Here's what you'll be doing:
- Lead the day-to-day operations of Kroo’s 1st Line Financial Crime Detection Team.
- Act as an escalation point for team queries, including: reporting suspicious activity, exiting accounts and reviewing transaction monitoring alerts.
- Collate and provide feedback on detection systems' effectiveness to the Monitoring and Strategy teams facilitating continuous improvement.
- Mentor, coach and develop your team members to help them succeed in their role.
- Proactively identify financial crime trends through data analysis.
- Liaise with other financial institutions and law enforcement authorities.
- Support the Head of Business Operations and Head of Financial Crime/MLRO in the optimisation and update of existing processes, systems and procedures.
- Help with the scaling of the team in line with business growth.
Here's what we are looking for ideally:
- Experience and expertise in a wide range of aspects of the Compliance or Anti Financial Crime function.
- Excellent knowledge of Financial Crime and AML regulations.
- Have experience in the financial services sector.
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm.
- Proven experience in managing a team.
- 3 years' experience (minimum) in a Financial Crime/AML function, with minimum 1 year of experience in the leading capacity.
- Have worked in a start-up.
- Have worked on effectively scaling a team.
About Our Process:
We can be flexible with the structure of our interview process if someone's circumstances or timescales require it but our general structure is:
- People screen and quiz interview - 45 mins
- Technical interview with the hiring manager - 45 mins
- Head of division interview - 45 mins

Office/Remote Working:
At Kroo Bank, we embrace a hybrid policy that grants individuals and teams a considerable level of autonomy regarding office usage, maximising productivity. This particular role is to lead a team of 100% remote FinCrime Analysts, and therefore this role is also 100% remote. You are able to work in either our Manchester or London office by choice, but there is no expectation or obligation for you to do so. The shifts for this Team Lead role is 4pm until 00.30, 5 days of the week including weekends.
