Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst

HeadQuarters is a leading global company in the cannabis industry, providing finance, sales operations, and logistics support to cannabis businesses. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst to join our team. As the Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing financial data and creating accurate forecasts. You will collaborate with various teams to develop financial models, track key performance indicators, and provide insightful analysis to support decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The working time for this position: 9am - 5pm PST

• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and monthly variance analysis
• Analyze financial data, developing financial models, and preparing ad-hoc financial reports to support decision-making
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and analyze business performance and drive improvements in key financial metrics
• Develop and maintain financial reporting processes and tools to support decision-making
• Identify and evaluate opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth
  

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in financial analysis or related field
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics or other quantitative or analytics field
• Strong analytical skills with a data-driven mentality, high attention to detail, and demonstrated success in problem solving and synthesizing data to provide business insights and recommendations
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; ability to work proficiently within Google Suite and broader Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment to drive business results
• Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally to deliver results with minimal supervision
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high growth, rapidly changing environment that requires tenacity to exploit opportunities and a steady demeanor to handle challenges
