Financial Accountant – Hybrid – Vienna

We are hiring at Seekda for a Financial Accountant to join our team in Vienna!

We are looking for a Financial Accountant responsible for preparing, examining and analysing accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports in line with Austrian GAAP and corporate standards. Accountant serves as a point of contact to Governmental Institutions (Tax Office, Health Insurance, etc.) and to other parties for all accounting tax-related issues.

What your day will look like:

• Responsibility for daily accounting activities of the company
• Accountability for yearly and monthly accounting closings
• Establishment and maintenance of the accounting records in accordance with Austrian GAAP
• Assistance in the preparation, analysis, interpretation, and delivery of financial statements
• Preparation of tax owed and tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax requirements
• Point of Contact for Tax Office, Health Social Security, Vienna Magistrate
• Involvement in payroll activities
• Assistance in the provision of necessary accounting information and various analysis to the management
• Ownership of Time and Expense process
• Development and implementation of best practices for efficient and effective operation of the accounting department and its processes
• Office procurement and management
• Other accounting finance duties according to the needs

About You:

• At least a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or similar discipline is essential
• At least 4+ years of progressively responsible experience
• CPA, CA or equivalent accounting education (“Buchhalter”, “Bilanzbuchhalter”) is an advantage
• Detailed understanding of Tax Office and reporting requirements
• Excellent written and oral German and English
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (knowledge of ODOO is an advantage)
• Intermediary knowledge of Excel would be beneficial
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize deadlines on an ongoing basis
• Fluent in German and at least a professional level of English, both written and verbal, is essential
• Legally authorised to work in Austria
