Labguru is seeking a dedicated and seasoned experienced DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. As part of our fast-paced, collaborative work environment, you will develop and deliver high-quality solutions tailored to our customer's needs. Your role will primarily encompass building, maintaining, and optimizing tools for our system operations and processes, while collaborating with different teams. Your ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues across our dev, test, and production environments, as well as liaising with IT personnel on the customer's side, will be integral to this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the management and improvement of our multi-account AWS setup and IaC (Terraform)
- Contribute to the creation and enhancement of Labguru’s CI/CD flows
- Work with Jenkins for administration and DevOps tasks
- Serve as the primary responder for alerts and notifications from security, application, and infrastructure monitoring tools
- Identify cost optimization opportunities, performance issues, and other key findings through thorough research
- Examine logs from SIEM tools for suspicious patterns, bugs, and security gaps
- Research and implement novel AWS services for performance and cost optimization
- Develop automation strategies for manual operations
- Employ SIEM tools and platforms to implement SOC for operations, monitoring, and security automation
- Develop monitoring dashboards
- Regularly execute tasks for security policy compliance and ISO schedule (e.g., keys rotation, AWS services upgrades, log reviews), automating these tasks wherever possible to enhanceLabguru’s AWS cloud operation and management
- Evaluate and select solutions and tools to enhance Labguru’s security posture, productivity, compliance, and cost
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of industry experience in a comprehensive DevOps role- MUST
- Extensive AWS production experience- MUST
- Solid background in Linux production environments
- Production experience with web application infrastructure (web server, CDN, Load balancers, cache)- MUST
- Extensive experience with Terraform- MUST
- Knowledge of Kubernetes is an advantage
- Understanding of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
- Proficiency in automating tasks with shell and Python/Ruby/Go scripts
- Exceptional attention to detail, especially when dealing with production
- Solution-oriented mindset; no task is too challenging to undertake or resolve
- Consistent consideration of security and best practices
- In-depth understanding of new tools, services, and technologies; eagerness to stay up-to-date
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
- Ability and willingness to work remotely
