Experienced Data Engineer

Position

Sentium Consulting is a leading provider of data-driven solutions and consulting services for a diverse range of clients across industries. We are looking for Experienced Data Engineers that will help our clients unlock the power of data to make informed decisions, drive innovation, and achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Working with business teams and SMEs (pharmaceutical industry) to understand legacy systems and user requirements
• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration workflows.
• Implement efficient and scalable data architectures that support data storage, processing, and analysis.
• Work closely with data scientists and analysts to ensure data availability and quality for analytical projects.
• Utilize cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) to deploy and manage data solutions, leveraging managed services where applicable.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, preferably in a consulting or client-facing environment.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, database design principles, and ETL processes.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Experience with big data technologies and frameworks, such as Hadoop and Spark.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
• Strong English communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and internal teams.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications 

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in the data engineering field, including advancements in Snowflake capabilities and best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in the data engineering field, with a keen understanding of the evolving landscape of DataOps tools and strategies.
• Familiarity with data mesh and data product concepts.
