About Us: 

New Voices for Reproductive Justice (New Voices/NVRJ) is a leader in the Reproductive Justice movement. With nearly two decades of experience in identity-based and issue-based leadership development, community engagement and organizing, and state and federal-level policy advocacy, New Voices is the first Reproductive Justice organization in Pennsylvania and the first and only in Ohio. Our mission is to “advocate for Black Women, femmes, and girls in Pennsylvania and Ohio through community organizing, leadership development, and voter engagement.” Our work is firmly rooted in the Reproductive Justice framework, and our programming reflects our mission focusing on core issues including voter engagement, abortion access, and environmental justice. 

 

About the Role: 

As our Executive Assistant, you'll be the vital link between the Executive Director's office and our operational needs. Your responsibilities will span external communication and collaboration with the Executive Director on strategic initiatives, offering support to program and consulting teams, managing projects, and ensuring effective system implementation. Your coordination skills, keen attention to detail, and timely written communication will be essential to excel in this role. You'll help us create a positive work environment that fosters staff well-being while contributing to various operational aspects and collaborating on strategic initiatives. The ideal Executive Assistant will have a blend of administrative, operational, communication, and interpersonal skills with a passion for the advancement of Reproductive Justice.

 

What You Will Do:
  • Provide high-level administrative support to the Executive Director, including meticulous calendar management and scheduling.

  • Lead special projects in collaboration with different departments, demonstrating problem-solving skills.

  • Assist in program/service initiative implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

  • Act as a communication liaison by managing meeting preparation and facilitating information flow.

  • Manage projects related to office spaces and supplies, optimizing workflows across departments.

  • Support a positive work environment and contribute to tactful written communication.

  • Represent New Voices in external coalitions, campaigns, and community events.

  • Contribute to communications and digital organizing, showcasing adaptability and flexibility.

 

What You Should Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience and education.

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience, including entry to mid-level positions.

  • Excellent time management, project management, and organizational skills.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Familiarity with initiatives and issues impacting Black women, femmes, girls & folx.

  • Prior experience in non-profit, community-based, and/or advocacy organizations preferred.

  • Strong alignment with Reproductive Justice and Human Rights principles.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment, managing teams under pressure with varied schedules.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Successful completion of background check.

  • Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000/year, depending on experience and location.
