Job title: Enrollment Specialist - Veteran Career Training Startup

Location: Louisville, KY, or Los Angeles, CA (preferred), remote work/home office ok

Compensation: $65k-75k/yr (W2) + full medical /dental benefits

Why this role exists

As an enrollment specialist, you will manage the entire prospective student journey from lead to admission, determining applicants' admissibility into EagleCorps' professional programs. You will also generate, maintain, and digitize student records according to established guidelines, corporate policies, accreditation bodies, and state and federal laws. Lastly, you will advise potential students on admission requirements, veteran benefits, and related issues.

 

Required:

  • At least 4 years progressive working experience within admissions or enrollment.

  • Experience with current and emerging technologies related to student admissions, recruitment, enrollment, and the registrar function.

  • Familiarity or exposure to relevant state agencies, military branches, and/or VA.

  • Flexibility to work occasional extended hours beyond M-F 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (during peak heavy registration, in rare case a student can’t meet during business hours)

 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • VA School Certifying Official (SCO) experience

  • Veteran status preferred honorable discharge

 

Outcomes:

  • You will meet and exceed enrollment goals and objectives.

  • You will determine admissibility for new and readmitted students; and classify and place students into appropriate academic units.

  • You will advise students regarding educational opportunities, admission requirements, policies and procedures, and financial requirements, as appropriate.

  • You will execute appropriate and timely follow-ups with applicants throughout the enrollment process.

  • You will gain knowledge of critical interactions between the functions of Admissions and Academic Affairs (Curriculum & Instruction)

  • You will contribute to the EagleCorps database of prospective/potential and current students.

  • You will process admission applications to verify eligibility for admission into EagleCorps’ programs by having exceptional knowledge of the enrollment process.

  • You will prepare reports and proposals and respond to inquiries from prospective students.

  • You will support the enrollment verification process for state agencies and military branches and advise students of required supporting documentation which you will gain knowledge of.

  • You will process student, faculty, and administrative-initiated course withdrawals and review and code withdrawal actions in compliance with federal, state, and district requirements.

  • You will gain expert knowledge of various technologies to access data, maintain records, generate reports, and communicate with others.

  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with various constituencies in a diverse community.

  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

  • Knowledge of student recruitment.

  • Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals.

  • Strong organization and coordinating skills.

  • Skill in the use of computerized systems and databases.

  • Ability to evaluate student records.

  • Knowledge of admissions policies, standards, and procedures.
