The Engineer II, DevOps position will join WeCMS contract team.

Responsibilities
Develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications across both frontend and backend technologies, ensuring functionality, scalability, and performanceCollaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to define and refine requirements, and ensure alignment between technical solutions and business needsParticipate in architecture and design discussions, contributing expertise and providing guidance to help drive the selection of appropriate technologies, frameworks, and toolsWrite clean, well-structured, and maintainable code, adhering to established coding standards and best practicesPerform thorough code and design reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and identifying potential risks or areas for improvementDebug and resolve software defects, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues before they impact usersCreate and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including software architecture diagrams, API specifications, and user guidesMentor and support junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team cultureActively participate in Agile ceremonies, such as stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across the teamContinuously evaluate and recommend new technologies, frameworks, and tools, helping to drive innovation and keep the team up-to-date with industry trendsAssist in the estimation, prioritization, and planning of development tasks, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budgetEngage in ongoing professional development to stay current with industry best practices, and share knowledge and insights with the team as appropriateImplement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerization technologies, and Infrastructure as Code tools in alignment with DevSecOps principles to streamline the deployment and management of microservices and APIs on AWS.Develop and deploy monitoring, logging, and performance optimization tools to ensure observability and resilience of microservices and APIs, while adhering to DevSecOps standards.Participate in regular security reviews, risk assessments, and vulnerability management activities to proactively identify and remediate potential threats within the microservices, APIs, and AWS infrastructure.Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security, compliance, and governance policies within the AWS environment to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fieldAt least 7 years of experience in software developmentStrong understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithmsExperience with Agile development methodologiesAbility to work independently as well as in a teamStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsProficient in one or more programming languages, including Java, Go, Python, or Typescript.Strong expertise in front-end and back-end frameworks like SpringBoot and React.Skilled in Bash scripting for task automation.Proficient in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation, with a focus on automated, efficient infrastructure management.Experienced in test design and execution using tools like JUnit, jMeter, and Postman/Newman.Knowledgeable in testing frameworks such as Cypress for end-to-end testing and Jest for unit testing.In-depth experience with Jenkins for CI/CD, with a preference for familiarity with Cloudbees Jenkins.Proficient with artifact management using JFrog Artifactory.Solid understanding of containerization principles, especially using Docker.Experienced in the implementation and best practices of feature flag management.Deep familiarity with AWS services including EC2, Lambda, ECS/Fargate, RDS, DynamoDB, EventBridge, CloudFront, S3, ApiGateway, CloudWatch and WAF.Understanding of content management systems, especially Drupal & DKAN.
