Director, Operations Implementation

Provides overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning. Additionally, the person in this role will drive continuous improvement, supervise and support the adoption/implementation of new technology, and support digital disruption in line with Lob’s business model.

As the Director, Operations Implementation, you’ll…

Lead the development of multiple projects and programs by utilizing operations expertise for the development and improvement of project and program initiatives. Acting as a conduit between Engineering, Product, Operations, and Finance.
Manage the alignment of business initiatives and the support segment strategy by identifying, aligning, and managing interdependencies across implementation portfolio ; assessing capacity and resources and adjusting prioritization and assignments based on strategy; ensuring support segment expertise is incorporated into business initiatives; designing initiative operationalization within support segment frameworks ; and providing guidance to ensure the target associate and customer experience is identified and represented throughout the portfolio.
Manage and deploys leadership methodology and operational processes and procedures across multiple functions by evaluating key business components in order to assess current performance standards; identifying areas of improvement; developing improvement solutions; ensuring methodologies, processes, and procedures are simple and executable with manageable roll out plans; consulting with cross-functional teams to gain alignment on improvement solutions; ensuring methodologies, processes, and procedures are sustainable for future use; and communicating changes and solutions to key stakeholders in order to gain buy-in.

What will you bring to this role…

Senior level experience in fulfillment, operations management, or related areas. 4 years supervisory experience.
Strong data skills and modeling in google sheets and excel, SQL experience.
P&L Experience
Aligns with the philosophy that being fast is better than being right and values taking calculated risks on reversible decisions. Strong bias for action
Excellent strategic agility, analytical, problem-solving skills with ability to work seamlessly between strategic and tactical
Must be a systems thinker

Compensation information

(Tier 1) = San Francisco Bay Area

Base: $210,000 - $255,000

(Tier 2) = LA/Orange County/NYC Metro Area

Base: $199,500 - $242,250

(Tier 3) = San Diego

Base: $189,000 - $229,500

(Tier 4) = Colorado

Base: $178,500 - $216,750

(Tier 5) = Other geographic areas 120+ miles from one of the above mentioned geo’s

Base: $168,000 - $204,000

“Lob’s salary ranges are based on market data, relative to our size, industry and stage of growth. Salary is one part of total compensation, which also includes equity, perks and competitive benefits. Salary decisions are based on many factors including geographic location, qualifications for the role, skillset, proficiency and experience level. Lob reasonably expects to pay candidates who are offered roles within the provided salary ranges.”
