Director of Performance Creative

This is a unique opportunity to be a lead creative on key accounts for a large, fast-growing digital agency.

You’ll be primarily responsible for creative performance across a portfolio of large brands who spend in the high 6-, 7- & 8-figures on social ads, display, native, and other digital channels. You’ll tap into the latest trends in digital advertising to create compelling video and animated ads that convert. You’ll iterate fast - testing and learning constantly to give our clients an edge in the marketplace.

About you:

Your gift is producing digital ads & campaigns that work – driving measurable, meaningful growth for any brand lucky enough to work with you.

You have a gift for digital ad concepting, developing USPs, angles, hooks, copy & visuals that grab attention… and funnels that convert cold traffic into customers.

You know the main ad platforms thoroughly and you’re up to date on the latest developments.

You can re-package & re-position a plain-vanilla offer to make it instantly more desirable.

You’re confident. And competitive.

You don’t just want to beat the control… you want to cut CPAs in half.

You know (& love) direct-response copy. You’ve studied the greats… and transcribed long-form sales letters by hand.

You’re like a lethal weapon on any ad account.

You’re looking for an awesome agency to call home … & you’re keen on mentoring and collaborating with up-and-coming leaders on the craft.


What you’ll do:

80% – producing 🔥🔥🔥 ads, sites & conversion journeys that move the needle for clients

  • Conduct market research into client brand(s) and product(s)
  • Uncover & articulate compelling unique selling propositions
  • Analyze current top ads, offers, landing pages & conversion flows
  • Craft unique ad angles and hooks that can be used on the creatives
  • Spy on competitors & leading brands, stay ahead of trends
  • Own the whole conversion journey – ads, landing pages, USPs, video scripts, forms / checkout funnels, email/SMS flows – top to bottom

20% of your time will go toward mentoring other team members & supporting processes

  • Work alongside a team of talented designers, editors, copywriters & UX pros and help everyone level up their skills
  • Bridge the gap between media buyers, clients & creatives
  • Manage & optimize the creative production & testing process
  • Curate a network of influencers, UGC creators & brand partnerships

Requirements

What you’ll have:

  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-performing ads & funnels for large advertisers
  • A strong portfolio of video and animated ads
  • Must have ad agency experience
  • Experience across various verticals & niches (including both B2C and B2B lead-gen)
  • Strong knowledge of digital advertising and media buying.
  • Strong lead-gen experience.
  • Landing page & Funnel Optimization expert.
  • Knowledge of A/B/n / Multi variate testing.
  • Very strong persuasive & DR copywriting.
  • Experience with Sales and Client Onboarding.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Google Docs, etc.
  • Experience with Photoshop, Creative Suite, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Experience with managing/overseeing creatives & growing teams
  • Ability to pitch clients, and create proposals & case studies.
  • Ability to maintain communications with client and media buyers to ensure proper advertisement is executed and planned.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact well with multiple departments.
