Who you are

Are you a seasoned financial professional who converts innovative ideas into actionable and effective organizational plans? As our Director of Finance, you'll do just that by serving as a business partner to senior leadership to design and deliver on the financial and operational needs of Lifeblue and TurnStyle.

Along with standardizing operations and streamlining critical functions, our ideal candidate will serve as an integrator, providing essential strategic leadership to our business unit leaders and internal stakeholders. 

What you'll do

Financial Leadership

  • Establish a financial strategy that supports both Lifeblue and TurnStyle's strategic visions, business models, goals, and financial objectives
  • Serve as an internal consultant to various departments and functions, including leadership, in identifying cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvement
  • Oversee and review month-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings
  • Coordinate and spearhead any audit processes, acting as a liaison with external auditors

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Conceptualize, synthesize, analyze, and establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each business unit to gauge efficacy and evaluate impact effectively
  • Create project-specific P&Ls for profitability analysis
  • Provide frequent financial information through dashboards, modeling, etc. that allow our leadership team to reach and stay on track with financial goals and metrics
  • Prepare and convert complex models into simple terms that others can work with

Accounting Operations

  • Manage the daily operation of the accounting, ensuring that all financial and bookkeeping functions are carried out efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with best practices
  • Partner with Operations to manage all aspects of compliance including state & local tax audits, regulatory filings, and annual insurance renewals
  • Partner with Operations to manage employee compensation and benefits plans
  • Provide financial analysis, revenue recognition, and term negotiation as needed for contracts and SOWs 

What you'll need

  • ·7+ years of relevant experience; MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred
  • Relevant work experience in Strategic Finance, FP&A, Revenue/Sales Operations, or Strategy/Business Operations at fast-paced companies
  • Expert knowledge of financial statements, ROI, and new business analysis in addition to corporate finance and accounting concepts
  • The ability to partner with and influence business partners and executives across the organization
  • The ability to translate large amounts of data and information into strategic and actionable insights, recommendations, and presentations
  • Excellent mathematical, analytic, and Excel/Google Sheets skills coupled with the ability to effectively communicate with those who can't match your skills


Bonus Points

  • Prior experience supporting startup companies through Series A and B funding
  • Prior experience managing financial operations for a SaaS product
