Our client is a for-profit, purpose-driven start-up acquisition platform that purchases high quality, long tenured small businesses from retiring owners, and implements a broad-based employee ownership program upon closing.
They enable employees to participate directly in the economic success of the businesses where they work. Our client aims to be the buyer of choice for retiring small business owners by offering quick, efficient acquisitions, and also a legacy of facilitating employee ownership.
They create a win-win scenario for retiring owners, company employees, communities, and investors. Owners retire with a secure financial position and legacy, employees participate financially in the success of their business with a clear path to meaningful wealth creation, communities retain valuable longstanding businesses, and investors generate strong returns.
The Director of Business Transformation will focus on maximizing the growth of the portfolio companies and expanding wealth creation opportunities for those companies' employees. Upon closing on a new acquisition, you will be involved in helping to formulate 100-day plans for the new portfolio companies, educating employees on the new employee ownership structure, and supporting the implementation of operational best practices.
Throughout the life cycle of a portfolio company, you will be a trusted partner to its President/CEO, providing scalable tools to support that leader through continual process improvement and execution excellence. You are excited to roll up your sleeves to implement and execute transformation programs, ultimately leading to greater wealth for the portfolio companies' employee-owners.
In addition to facilitating operational excellence at the portfolio companies, you will develop, document, and continuously improve the holding company's core business processes across finance, legal, and HR functions. You will ensure execution is set up for success and managed rigorously.
