Job Description

The Senior Director, Campus Business Process and Quality Improvement is the key business leader responsible for the oversight, supports and execution of continuous quality improvement, change management and development of business processes initiatives resulting in delivery of exceptional campus performance. The role requires strong partnership and project management with campus leadership and institutional leaders to drive process development and improvement through exemplary process design/improvement/management skills using proven best practice techniques and methodologies. Leverages and leads technology solutions to deliver business process results. These responsibilities include but are not limited to the leadership and creation of processes and ensuring continuous quality improvement/auditing of core campus operations – related to student retention/persistence, total enrollment management, campus finance operations, core business operational practices, execution of student experience strategies, and other strategic university priorities. 

  • Oversees the implementation of Chamberlain University’s philosophy, mission, vision, and goals in one or more programs.
  • Builds and executes strategies to support core campus business operations – specifically:
    • Creation of strategies that drive improvement of student and persistence and retention goals across Alliances.
    • Alliance oversight of total enrollment trending session over session
    • Synthesis reporting/reconciliation of campus/alliance financial performance
    • Defining processes that influence student experience strategies for scalable impact.
    • Design and implement core campus business practices across locations that drive consistency of operational procedures – including facility support and security practices.
  • Leads teams through direct oversight and in partnership with internal business units ensuring seamless, student-centric processes to deliver exceptional business performance results. Leadership of functions may include and are not limited to building operations teams, business process improvement / project management, support of systems and technology alignment to business needs. All projects and functions performed in alignment with service quality and audit compliance objectives
  • Leads team to identify opportunities to improve and standardize processes to improve service, achieve consistency, and reduce rework while maintaining high levels of quality, efficiency and driving down costs.
  • Leads project initiatives both individually and via the team in support of campus locations and institutional business partners. Plans and executes effective project plans, facilitates sponsorship and project briefings, progress status reporting, definition of KPIs and measurement of success, and generation of project ideas
  • Ensures that project team members work together to define business processes, recommend system configuration, and project manage their development as needed.
  • Develops and maintains a solid knowledge of the various enterprise applications and business processes.
  • Measures and monitors work of individual contributors, providing feedback, coaching and recognition to support career growth and development, as well as supporting quality outcomes.
  • Leads implementations for campuses by assisting / facilitating identification of impacts, training and facilitation/delegation needed to support smooth rollout.
  • Works collaboratively with other operational, academic and student services leadership to ensure coordination and consistency in the operationalizing of the mission and delivery of business process outcomes.
  • Manages the recruitment, selection, onboarding, development, and evaluation of direct reports.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.



Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in higher education, business operations, project management or another related field required.
  • Master’s degree in related field required.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of management experience required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years leading at the senior level required.
  • Strong communication and collaboration experience.
  • Proven experience driving results while collaborating across multiple locations with multiple stakeholders.
  • Deep knowledge of student outcomes research and the ability to delivery of successful strategy.
  • Responsibility for overseeing and managing key business outcomes for multiple locations.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret and make decisions based on data and drive policy accordingly.
  • Ability to excel in a matrix organizational structure.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.
  • Ability to use a variety of technology applications that promote student learning and services.
  • Ability to interact with all organizational levels: Students, faculty, leadership, external stakeholders, and staff.



Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $133,831.82 and $241,870.90. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
