Director Business Development

As Executive Director Business Development you execute the plan, policies and goals of the business development department, with focus on initiating and developing relationships which will produce long standing productive partnerships and business growth. In this role you play an important role in transforming clinical research and deliver precision and predictive medicine and ultimately contribute to people live healthier lives.

Role objectives and responsibilities

The main objective is to establish and maintain key business relationships within the pharmaceutical industry.

You will work with the Global Head of Business Development in developing a strategy for analyzing, identifying and developing new business opportunities across different continents.

You convert strategic ideas into tactical plans and implement a strategy to align the service portfolio with new customer trends.

You build relations with new and existing customers where you translate service requirements into business proposals, you coordinate with the operations teams to identify service specifications and timelines for new projects. You implement pricing strategies and negotiate terms, pricing, etc. with new customers.

For ongoing projects, you ensure budget control by aligning with Finance and coordinating process control with Project Management Departments

Furthermore you plan, coordinate and follow up Cerba Research’s presence at trade shows, you assists in developing a marketing strategy (identifying trade shows, coordinate marketing materials and messaging, etc.)

About you

You have minimal a Bachelor level science degree, ideally a Master's degree

Relevant expertise and experience in direct sales in the service industry for clinical trials

You have knowledge of pharmaceutical industry and you speak and write fluent in English

You have analytical skills to translate service requirements into business proposals

And most important: you are eager to acquire and build out relationships, you have persistance, a lot of energy and a positive mindset, with the ability to travel on a regular basis
