Description: Move For Hunger, a nationally recognized non-profit organization, is seeking a creative, motivated, and enthusiastic candidate to join our team as a Graphic Designer & Asset Management Assistant. In this role, you will work closely with the Design and Marketing team to raise awareness about hunger by creating captivating visual content for various platforms. Additionally, you will assist in managing graphic assets to ensure smooth workflows and efficient design processes.

Time Commitment:

  • 2-3 days/week
  • Minimum 10 hrs/week remote
  • Part-time availability during the semester
  • This position will run from September - December with some flexibility on start and end dates.

 

Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities will vary from day to day; however, possibilities include the following:

  • Creation of visual content and marketing materials for food drives and other events/campaigns
  • Implementing best practices for asset naming, categorization, and storage
  • Preparing final designs for presentation, including exporting and uploading to various platforms
  • Assisting in locating and utilizing relevant assets effectively
  • Adhering to Move For Hunger’s brand and style guide
  • Providing input into the layout redesign of existing material
  • Attending brainstorm sessions and communication/design meetings
  • Perform additional administrative tasks as needed and support the duties of the Marketing and Design Team

Requirements

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Canva and the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator are critical)
  • Must be able to work cohesively in a remote environment while collaborating effectively
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office and Google Docs
  • Ability to interpret design briefs and verify content for accuracy
  • Additional skills in photography, videography, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe AfterEffects are a plus
  • A portfolio showcasing your talents (required with interview)
  • Openness to constructive feedback and professional communication
  • Experience working in a team-oriented environment
  • Candidate must use their own laptop during the course of the internship

Benefits

Compensation: This role is eligible for a one-time $1,000 internship stipend.
