We've been consistently ranked as one of Inc. Magazine's fastest-growing privately held companies in the United States since 2015, and we've earned our stripes as one of the "Best Places To Work." Job Summary:

Are you ready to make waves? As our Data Visualization Engineer, you'll be the creative mastermind behind translating complex data into visually stunning insights. You'll work hand-in-hand with data analysts, software developers, stakeholders, and other brilliant minds to craft visualizations that not only tell a story but inspire smarter decision-making. Plus, if you're experienced in data warehouse engineering, we're even more excited to meet you!

Responsibilities:

  • Team up with colleagues from various departments to understand data needs, objectives, and user wishes for a range of projects.
  • Craft captivating, interactive data visualizations, dashboards, and reports using the latest industry tools and tech.
  • Transform raw data into meaningful "a-ha" moments using a variety of visualization techniques – think charts, graphs, heatmaps, scatter plots, and more.
  • Partner with data analysts and scientists to ensure our visualizations hit the accuracy bullseye.
  • Build and maintain slick data visualization pipelines, making data extraction, transformation, and loading a breeze (ETL.).
  • Optimize visualizations for peak performance, even when dealing with mountains of data or demanding user interactions.
  • Collaborate closely with our UX/UI wizards to ensure our visuals align with our branding and offer a delightful user experience.
  • Stay ahead of the curve, keeping tabs on the latest data visualization trends and technologies, and bringing fresh ideas to the table.
  • Test, gather feedback, and fine-tune our visualizations to ensure they're as effective as they are beautiful.
  • Offer technical support and training to non-techies so they can navigate and use our visualized data like pros.
  •  Write up the who, what, and how of your visualizations so that others can follow in your creative footsteps.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Design, or a related field.
  • Proven track record (3 years) of whipping up interactive data visualizations and dashboards.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools like Neo4j, Tableau, Power BI, D3.js, Plotly, or similar.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, or R.
  • Solid grasp of data manipulation, ETL processes, and data cleansing techniques.
  • Knowledge of database systems and SQL for data retrieval.
  • Familiarity with UX/UI principles, and the ability to harmonize with designers.
  • Excellent communication skills to make complex concepts clear to non-techies.
  •  A knack for dissecting requirements and choosing the perfect visualization.
  • Share your portfolio of previous data visualization projects that made waves in decision-making.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Neo4j.
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and algorithms.
  • Knowledge of data security and privacy best practices in data visualization.
