Data Integration Specialist – Remote – Canada

We are hiring at Aspire Software for an experienced and Data Integration Specialist to join our growing team!

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer specializing in API integrations and Data Warehousing to play a crucial role in managing data within Snowflake/Redshift environments. In this position, you will be responsible for integrating a variety of platforms such as Jira, TeamSupport, GitHub, and 8x8.

Your expertise in Python or JavaScript will be essential in developing seamless connections between these systems, thereby enhancing our overall digital infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of complex systems, the ability to develop efficient API solutions, and ensuring a smooth, secure flow of data across various platforms and our data warehouses.

The successful candidate will be based in Canada and will work from home.

What your day will look like:

• Develop and maintain integrations between platforms like Jira, TeamSupport, GitHub, 8x8, and our core systems.
• Implement efficient data ingestion and integration strategies in Snowflake/Redshift data warehouses.
• Design scalable and robust API solutions to ensure seamless connectivity and data flow between diverse systems.
• Manage data integrity and optimize data storage and retrieval processes within our data warehouse environments.
• Proactively monitor and enhance the performance of APIs and data warehouses.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in API development, data warehousing, and integration techniques.

About You:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in software development, focusing on API integrations and data warehousing.
• Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript, with a strong grasp of RESTful APIs, JSON, and web services.
• Hands-on experience with platform integrations (Jira, TeamSupport, GitHub, 8x8, etc.).
• Experience with Snowflake/Redshift data warehouses and a solid understanding of database technologies and SQL.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of cloud services, OAuth, container technologies, CI/CD pipelines, Agile methodologies, and automated testing frameworks.
