Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes for our housing industry client using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and DataBricks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements, build data models, and implement data solutions to support business needs.
• Integrate and transform data from various sources, including data lakes and APIs, ensuring data quality and consistency.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries to enable efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
• Conduct unit testing and functional testing of data solutions to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline the deployment process.
• Embrace DevOps processes to enhance data engineering practices and overall system performance.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data engineering and analytics.

Requirements

• Proven experience and expertise in Power BI, DataBricks, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse, SQL, and API integration.
• Familiarity with data lake architectures and data warehousing concepts.
• Strong knowledge of unit testing and functional testing methodologies.
• Experience in CI/CD practices for data engineering projects.
• Understanding of DevOps principles and its application in data engineering.
• English Language Proficiency.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex data scenarios.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• A self-driven individual with a passion for innovation and continuous learning
