EdTec is growing on a national scale. Currently, we provide services to over 300 charter schools across seven states, many of them located in low-income, high-needs communities. We are seeking a Data Consultant who will share our enthusiasm to support our partner schools with high-value services, to empower the school leaders to focus their attention where it matters most – on providing an excellent education for their students. Responsibilities

  • Managing a client load of 10-15 schools, serving as the primary point of contact regarding:
    • Federal/State/county/district data reporting requirements, deadlines, and processes
    • School membership and/or attendance data as it relates to school funding and apportionment
    • Data verification, analysis, formatting, and cleanup of student and staff demographic data
    • Generation of custom student demographic reports and analyses
  • Assessing client data needs and identifying additional areas for consulting work
  • Generating, troubleshooting, and extracting a range of school data
  • Researching and developing (where applicable) new processes, compliance reporting requirements, and technical solutions
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Assisting in or overseeing the planning and implementation of student information systems in new and existing schools
  • Occasional training of teachers and administrators on student information software and systems
  • Identifying, assisting, and executing strategic projects/initiatives to improve and grow EdTec operations, services, sales, and the overall business

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • A strong client-service orientation, responding efficiently and effectively to client requests
  • Ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects while meeting customer expectations
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of or interest in database systems
  • Solid Excel skills and familiarity with Power Query, MS Access or similar database systems a plus
  • Familiarity with ETL concepts and data modeling
  • Interested in student data systems and automating data flows between systems
  • The following are pluses, though not required:
    • Experience with student information systems, such as PowerSchool, Aeries, Infinite Campus, School Pathways, Synergy, Skyward
    • Experience with CALPADS or similar State Reporting systems, such as CEDARS, EIS, STAR, PEIMS
    • For recent college graduates, a degree in computer science, engineering, business, economics or other quantitative subject

Benefits

At EdTec Inc, we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. The minimum salary for this position is $58,500. Ultimately, we determine compensation based on your experience and geographic location.
