Data Associate

Movement Labs is a movement incubator and the leading peer-to-peer text political consultancy supporting progressives and grassroots activists nationwide. Our clients span both establishment and movement efforts, from senior Democratic Congressional leadership to Black Lives Matter. Your work will help mobilize 100,000 votes in the top battleground states to stop Donald Trump and recruit thousands of candidates for 100,000 elections that go uncontested every year. 

You are a data expert proficient in SQL as well as Python. You have 1-2 years of experience in Data Cleaning, Data Analysis. This role is fully remote.

Responsibilities

• Manage ETL processes from data sources to BigQuery.
• Analyze and report on results from randomized controlled trials.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis on irregular reports.
• Create data visualizations to assist in reporting.
• Conduct SQL queries for extract and load.
• Run machine learning models to help create predictive and descriptive models.

Requirements

• Strong SQL skills. 
• Experience with BigQuery.
• Some experience working with python.
• Familiarity with git.
• Passionate about Movement Labs’ mission which aims to build progress by building local power.
• Well organized, detail-oriented and able to multitask.
• BA or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Benefits

• Annual salary of $60,000-$65,000 as part of a transparent salary structure with clear levels of advancement.

• This role is a cycle-based hire through November, but we hope to find opportunities to extend where possible. 
• This position is not eligible for the collective bargaining unit.
