Position: Data Analyst, Mid-level – DHS
Location: Washington, DC Area/Remote
Job Summary
This position will provide experienced cost analysis and estimating support for Department of Homeland Security (DHS) programs.
Years of Relevant Experience
The position requires 5 years of data analysis and model development. DHS experience is desirable, but not required.
Essential Job Functions

The Data Analyst supports operations and conducts data analytics projects to provide information and insights to stakeholders for decision-making or solution development. The individual’s activities include but are not limited to:
Implement data standards and deploy automation tools to extract, synthesize, and validate data from different sources and transform data into usable metrics.
Construct data sets, monitors data quality, troubleshoots and resolves database issues to ensure data integrity
Analyze and evaluate network operations efficiencies and security effectiveness, and recommends design changes to improve services to users.
Assist with database architecture plans and development.
Provide effective verbal and written correspondence, prepare reports and presentations, as required.
Utilize scripting and querying tools like Python, R or SQL, data visualization/BI tools, statistical methods, and data modeling to produce reports, data files, and dashboardsBe able to effectively work in a team environment.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related fields required. Graduate and Post Graduate degrees are a plus and may substitute for years of experience.

Security Requirements
Must be a US citizen. Active Clearance not required, but Secret Clearance desired. Ability to obtain a clearance (up to Top Secret) may be required in the future.
