Job Summary:
The Managed Services Data Analyst (“MSD Analyst”) is directly responsible to assist the Director of Supplier Relations & Analytics (“Analytics Director”) with the collection & assimilation of disparate data; the identification of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); the understanding and interpretation of data, the analysis and transformation of data, and the dissemination of intelligence in appropriate forms to HWL consumers including but not limited to customers, suppliers, sales, operations, accounting, and executive stakeholders. The MSD Analyst is responsible for the entire cycle of data collection and reporting: (1) from declaration – clear identification of targets and goals; use cases, purpose statements, methods, measures, metrics, KPIs, and data validation assessments; (2) to the presentation – selecting reporting formats (tables, charts, graphs, etc.), generation of reports, migration to presentation media; and potentially presenting the reports (3) in an accurate and timely manner.
This new role, with our expanding client base, requires someone to be a self-starter and provide innovative solutions to bring clarity to performance and to highlight successes, as well as opportunities for improvement.
Key responsibilities include development and/or refinement of tools for analysis of utilization, fill and other performance metrics, and qualitative metrics; creation of customer dashboards, allowing more real-time visibility into Program use and performance; construction of tools in support of rate guidance and decision-making; and change management of internal processes that affect data quality and structure.
Job Description:
Collects data via exports from VMS (HWL platform), BI Tools (Tableau™), from webforms (HubSpot), surveys, or other platforms/data sources as required.
Works with Analytics Director to evaluate, develop and implement standard processes and tools for data normalization and validation to facilitate data correlation and/or aggregation.
Ensures consistent interpretation of analysis by deploying best practices including a commitment to clear and concise communication of definition, purpose and use of each measure, metric, KPI, and target, goal, or SLA.
Coordinates with Analytics Director and other key stakeholders to develop customer report templates and to identify/track best practices.
Works with Analytics Director to design, develop, and implement scorecards, dashboards, presentations, reports, customized analytical models, projections, and data sets to share performance statistics with clients and suppliers.
Derives and communicates assumptions and observations or key takeaways from analysis.
At direction of Analytics Director or HWL Executive, provide periodic reports as requested by customers and internal stakeholders.
Below is a list of frequent data sets and types of reports that will be expected:
Accounting (aging, disbursements, adjustments, reconciliations, etc.)
Operations (Open Jobs, Rate Guidance, OnAssignment/TOA, Starts/Ends, Submission Analysis).
Sales (provide data/analysis for RFP responses, Marketing – case study and pro).
Utilization (spend, hours, mix, trend, FTE, headcount, rate compliance, wage code and/or calculated metrics).
Performance (fill, pipeline, responsiveness/speed/efficiency, market share, retention, compliance, etc.).
Qualitative (candidate fall-off, delayed starts, completions, Walk-Term, conversion to perm, performance from end of assn evaluations and assn satisfaction).
Program Objectives (Savings/cost avoidance, trended measure of performance).
Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent. B.S. Degree preferred.
Basic understanding of staffing and MSP operations.
One year or more of related experience as an analyst in staffing operations, HR, business intelligence, or accounting. Within healthcare preferred.
Problem solving employing methodical analytical approach.
Experience with application of various data visualizations.
Familiar with SWAT, Root-Cause, and/or other approaches to causational analysis.
Good customer service and public relations.
Knowledge of and comfort in use of related computer applications including database entry.
Able to work well independently, without observations for extended periods of time, as well as in a team environment.
Attention to detail and solid organizational skills.
Solid communication skills.
Successful associates in this position must be able and willing to travel nationwide up to 10% of the time.
We are seeking applicants that can work remotely and live in AL, AR, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MA, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, ND, NE, NH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, VA, TX, VT, WI, WV that will allow them to travel easily to client sites and company meetings. Must be able to work 8:30am-5:30pm EST.
